When was HEINEKEN Malaysia founded?
Heineken Malaysia Berhad (“HEINEKEN Malaysia”) was incorporated on 24th January 1964 and the company sought listing of its shares on the Malaysia Stock Exchange in 1965. In 1989, the company merged with Malayan Breweries (Malaya) Sdn Bhd, to broaden the product base of the business.
Can I visit the brewery?
Our brewery is open for tours every Tuesdays and Thursday at 11:00am or 2:00pm. We do entertain group tours, but we limit each tour group to a maximum of 25 pax only. If you are interested to visit our brewery, submit your details in the Brewery Tour section on this website.
Can I organise a private function at The Tavern?
The Tavern is available for the use of corporate organisations with business associations with HEINEKEN Malaysia. If you would like to organise a function for your organisation, you can submit your request to [email protected]

Dividends are paid twice a year, usually in the month of April and December.
What is the relationship between HEINEKEN Malaysia and SPARK Foundation?
SPARK Foundation was rebranded from GAB Foundation on 15 September 2017 under the Trustees (Incorporation) Act 1952 to spearhead HEINEKEN Malaysia’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm with an objective to make a difference within local communities in Malaysia. SPARK Foundation has two flagship programmes that are benefitting thousands of Malaysians through increasing awareness in protecting our main water source – our rivers and providing learning opportunities for the underprivileged.
SPARK Foundation has been granted tax exempt status under Section 44(6) of the Income Tax 1967 with effect from 15th August 2009.
What is Drink Sensibly?
Drink Sensibly (DS) is HEINEKEN Malaysia’s sensible drinking platform and it was initiated in 2011 to create a positive role for alcohol in society and make sensible drinking a valued and enjoyable part of life.
HEINEKEN Malaysia wants consumers to enjoy our brands and have good drinking experiences by drinking moderately and sensibly.

HEINEKEN Malaysia is the first brewery in Malaysia to receive the MS 1480: 2007 Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certification from the Ministry of Health in August, 2002.
The brewery has received ISO 9002 Certification since 1995 and has upgraded to MS ISO 9001: 2008 in 2010. To ensure we continue to produce a good and consistent quality of beer and stout, we have a set of trained taste panel experts who conduct taste test on our beers every month
