6 November 2014 – Heineken continues to bring world class experiences, following another successful collaboration with the prestigious CIMB Classic 2014 golf tournament. With an exciting tournament that saw last year’s champion, Ryan Moore, became the first person since Tiger to defend a title on tour, the world’s no.1 international premium beer commemorated its second year at CIMB Classic with an exclusive party on the course of Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC).
Hosted after the third day of the tournament drew to a close, the Heineken Sundown Party featured some of the best views in top golf tournaments – strategically located on the 1st and 14th green to offer great panoramic views of the course.
To mark Heineken’s second year in collaboration with the top golf tournament in Southeast Asia, the event’s showcases were devised within a theme of collaboration. An award-winning mixologist treated guests to specially-created Heineken-infused cocktails served only at the party as they were entertained by the performances of musicians, DJ Nikki, DJ Blink and a speed painter.
As CIMB Classic 2014 came to a close, Heineken organised a Sponsor’s Golf Day game on Monday 3rd November. The event played host to VIPs such as Irish ambassador, Declan Kelly and Dato’ Larry Gan of the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce, as guests took pleasure in playing a round of golf at KLGCC, where the top pro-golfers of the tournament played just hours before.
