Beer at its purest. 100% malt, first press beer.
- Crisp at the start, with a smooth, rich flavour.
History
- Kirin Ichiban was first brewed in Japan in 1990, and quickly went on to become one of Japan’s most popular beers.
Process
- Unlike other beers, Kirin Ichiban only uses the first press of the wort. This First Press process, or ‘ichiban shibori’ method in Japanese, brews beer to its purest state for the best flavor, extracting only the most flavorful of the finest ingredients.
Awards
- Kirin Ichiban has been awarded the Monde Selection Gold Medal on four occasions since 1997.
