When was HEINEKEN Malaysia founded?
Heineken Malaysia Berhad (“HEINEKEN Malaysia”) was incorporated on 24th January 1964 and the company sought listing of its shares on the Malaysia Stock Exchange in 1965. In 1989, the company merged with Malayan Breweries (Malaya) Sdn Bhd, to broaden the product base of the business.

What is the relationship between HEINEKEN Malaysia and SPARK Foundation?
SPARK Foundation was formed on 5 July 2007 under the Trustees (Incorporation) Act 1952 as “GAB Foundation”. The Foundation was granted tax exempt status under Section 44(6) of the Income Tax 1967 on 15 August 2009 and it assumed its present name on 15 November 2017.
The objective of the Foundation is to spearhead HEINEKEN Malaysia’s corporate responsibility activities to make a difference within local communities in Malaysia. SPARK Foundation has two flagship programmes that are benefitting thousands of Malaysians through increasing awareness in protecting our main water source – our rivers and providing learning opportunities for the underprivileged.

How does HEINEKEN Malaysia guarantee the quality of its products?
We have in place a systematic quality and process control structure across our entire value chain; from the purchasing of raw materials to the packaging of our products.
HEINEKEN Malaysia is the first brewery in Malaysia to receive the MS 1480: 2007 Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certification from the Ministry of Health in August, 2002.
The brewery has received ISO 9002 Certification since 1995 and has upgraded to MS ISO 9001: 2008 in 2010 and, subsequently, to ISO 9001:2015 in 2018. To ensure we continue to produce a good and consistent quality of beer, stout, ciders and malt drinks, we have a set of trained taste panel experts who conduct taste test every month.

You can raise your concerns by sending an email to MY1-GeneralEnquiry@heineken.com. The email will then be channelled to the respective departments in charge for review.
