The Arthur Guinness Fund
Since its inception in 2009, Arthur’s Day celebrates a legendary brew and its maker, but also his legacy of goodness through the Arthur Guinness Fund. Since then, the brand has committed more than €7Million in support of social entrepreneurs around the world. In Malaysia, about RM240, 000 worth of funding were given out to 6 Malaysian social enterprises from the 2012 Arthur Guinness Fund (AGF) in partnership with the British Council Malaysia. This year, GUINNESS® plans to continue its support and champion Malaysian social innovators of our generation with the launch of AGF Entrepreneurs for Good, Wave 2 program.

Arthur’s Day – A Global Celebration
Since its beginnings in 2009, the worldwide celebrations have grown in scale every year. Starting out with just 5 countries in 2009, Arthur’s Day is now celebrated in 55 countries around the world. Arthur’s Day is celebrated around the world to honour the date that Arthur Guinness signed a 9,000 year lease on the St James’ Gate Brewery in 1759, and whose legacy has brought us the globally celebrated and iconic black brew, GUINNESS®.
