Kuala Lumpur, 21 April 2013 – Over 1,000 cheering football fans gathered at Tiger FC’s Big Away Game on Sunday to catch some of the top sides of the 2012/13 English Premiership do battle for glory. Featuring two titanic matches between Tottenham and Manchester City as well as Liverpool and Chelsea, Tiger FC certainly brought a fitting culmination to the 2013 English Premiership.

In spite of sporadic showers before the matches began, football fans turned up from as early as 5pm to get the best seats for the matches ahead. Tiger FC certainly lived up to its name as the provider of the best viewing experiences by setting up a giant 60-foot wide elevated screen specially for the occasion, ensuring that footie fans wouldn’t miss a single moment of the riveting football action. Add to the mix the witty banter and footie trivia shared by Tiger FC hosts Adam C and Henry Golding, non-stop activities for fans of the beautiful game and of course, buckets of ice-cold Tiger Beer and you certainly have the recipe for what was undoubtedly the best football-viewing party experience in town, bar none.

Fans had a lot to look forward to even before the match started, as Tiger FC provided numerous activities for fans to participate in including face-painting, personalized Tiger FC-Puma jerseys, football trivia and prediction challenges, as well as the popular Tiger FC ‘What Fan Are You?’ personality test. This engaging footie quiz gave participants the opportunity to find out just what type of football supporter they were, whether it was a ‘Striker’, ‘Manager’, ‘Optimist’ or ‘Celebrant’ and to also get a magazine cover photo shot taken illustrating their style.

The on-ground excitement was certainly matched by the on-field performances as both matches proved to be non-stop displays of speed, skill and strategy. The Tottenham-Manchester City match seemed to be going City’s way until a scintillating display of attacking football saw the home side score three stunning goals in the space of just seven minutes, winning the match for the Lillywhites. The Liverpool-Chelsea game was no less action-packed with solid skills and spirited gameplay from both teams resulting in an eventual 2-2 draw, courtesy of a Luis Suarez goal deep into injury time. Great stuff all around!

Being a fan of real fans, Tiger FC rewarded football fans who correctly predicted the score of the first game with fantastic prizes of a 42” LCD TV screen and a RM 1,500 Puma voucher respectively, making the night especially memorable for these two football fans. Additionally, one lucky footie enthusiast named Terrance Teoh showcased the best football skills, trivia knowledge and creativity to beat 50 other finalists in the Tiger FC-Star “Bringing You Closer to the Action” contest finals to secure an amazing expenses-paid trip to watch a Premier League match in the UK. With flight tickets sponsored by the Emirates for two people and a packed itinerary which will include match tickets, club museum and stadium tours and even the opportunity to meet your favourite players, this trip is certainly a dream come true for footie fans.
