Social Sustainability
We are dedicated to embracing inclusion and diversity, building a fairer and safer workplace and investing in local communities.
Guided by our DEI principles, we cultivate an environment where diverse strengths are valued, enabling individuals to reach their full potential. Efforts to enhance gender balance in Senior Management are progressing, with targets set at 30% women by 2025 and 40% by 2030. To accelerate progress, initiatives such as the DEI Strategy and Women Interactive Network (WIN) have been introduced.

At HEINEKEN Malaysia, social sustainability is one of our key ESG pillars as part of our Brew A Better World sustainability commitments. Under this pillar, we are committed to delivering a positive social impact for our local communities.
Since 1994, through our Tiger Sin Chew Chinese Education Charity Concert, we have helped raise over RM427 million for schools in Malaysia.

Since its launch in 2021, HEINEKEN Cares by HEINEKEN Malaysia has been dedicated to uplifting vulnerable communities through targeted social impact initiatives focused on food security, clean water access, and essential support. The program combines employee volunteerism, NGO partnerships, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure meaningful, long-term benefits. In 2023, HEINEKEN Cares had delivered over 6 million meals and clean water access to more than 30,000 people. In 2024, the initiative expanded its reach by allocating RM220,000 through a collaboration with Sokong, a digital fundraising platform for NGOs, non-profits, and social enterprises. This funding supports four NGOs in delivering food aid and critical resources to underserved communities.
Growing with communities is an important part of HEINEKEN Malaysia’s dedication to social sustainability. As a responsible and progressive corporate citizen, we want to help our communities with their essential needs during the challenging period.
